type of torch?
Is there a torch setup that can be used for jewelry soldering as well as
lampworking? I have an air-acetylene torch now, that I understand can't be used for glass work and I may sell it to buy something that can be used for both. Also, what are the considerations for changing torch tips (eg, should I plan on having a Y connection?) thanks |

My wife is a lampworker and we are going the other direction - getting a
jewelry torch that uses her Oxy/propane gasses. Lampworking requires a much larger diameter flame than would likely ever be used for jewelry sized pieces. But a 'Y' connector from the same regulators will allow sharing the tanks. Carl 1 Lucky Texan Robin wrote: Is there a torch setup that can be used for jewelry soldering as well as lampworking?
