I'm sure there are dozens of us here that have been asked to do the "fun"
part of someone's abandoned project. Often not a very well done piece but
loved by whoever did it.

Don't you have friends, or sometimes just acquaintances, who have come up to
you with a kittenish look and unashamedly asking: "Would you mind putting
together my sweater pieces? After all, you do it so well." Or, "Would it
be too much to ask you to finish my Theresa Wentzler cross stitch piece?"

I've been trapped too many times and generally try to avoid that situation,
but I can't always manage to do it.

Ah, but use the pricing scales in this article, and either they'll go
away, or you'll feel much less taken advantage of.

Lucille i just had such an experience , the Neighbour who by the way
barely speaks with me, stpped me on the street and said " I have
something for you to do, [??????m.b.c.] i have this sweater that
doesn`t fit me You Can repair it for me!!!" i looked at her smiled
deeply and said :" Sorry !! I can`t",,,, and walked away , gigling
quietly to myself ,,, This deserved me a sweet something ...

Good for you, Mirjam. I hope you allowed yourself * 2 * sweet somethings,
one for thinking fast and not getting hooked into doing something you really
would not have wanted to, and one for doing it gracefully.
