Default this Unplaned wool i just bought

I made this beauiful woolen new skirt, it has little squres of what we
used to call Petrol color [ it is kind of blue like the Deep tropic
ocean with some green melted into the blue] with white and grey [
mixed as one color]. Ok goes lovely with my White sweater, and with
the Bordoux ,, but ????? i suddenly had this Urge for a matching
sweater in Petrol. My regular shop didn`t have it ... So i just let it
go,,,,, but walking mid town ,,, i had a glimpse in a shop i usually
don`t buy in [ =don`t like ] ,,,, but My color wool was there in a BIN
,,,, i told myself it would be man made thread [ which by the way my
own shop did have !!] ,,, but , i peeped in looked at the bin and IT
WAS PURE WOOL ,,,,,, oh NO , now i couldn`t resist it and bought it ,
purse soft real wool in the wanted color ,,,,, now i have to break my
mind which pattern i should make , and put in line with the other
knits .....But i have PROMISED myself , not to start any new knitting
before finnishing `some other` half or three quarter made ones.
I am now in my book in a place that needs to be worked on , { didn`t i
say i would like this to be foinnished this year ???] and some art
works in several phases ,,,,, a new sweater? for me ??? i must be ....

very hopeful and trusting in my ability to work .
Of course having been slowed down the last 1.5 years , makes me now
eager to make up for lost time ....
have a good week end my friends ,,,

good luck to fit the sweater project into your busy schedule.

You have a good weekend too.

I remember seeing a pattern that used that color wool - I remember as I
had never seen petrol used as a color name before. I can imagine a
beautiful wool sweater. No wonder you had to save it from that bin.

These are the temptations that lead to having three sweaters on the
needles at once.
(I will only admit to 2 sweaters and a pair of soft baby alpaca gloves
at the moment.

Hi Mirjam,

It was meant to be that you walk by the store and see exactly what you
wanted right there waiting for you. I had never heard of that color
before, but knowing how we like varigeted it sounds lovely.

Hugs,

Your twin,

Nora

Mirjam, what a wonderful find! I know you will love it whenever you do get
the sweater made.

Jamieson's has Spindrift in a color called petrol -- I think it must be
the same after reading Mirjam's description. The last Knitty had a hat
pattern that called for it.

I knew exactly what colour she meant. Over here we put petrol in our cars
rather then gasolene, but I don't know whether the colour petrol is the
same colour as the liquid petrol.

It is a lovely colour though, and I bet it will make a wonderful sweater.
