Default storing canes

Hi,
I store all my clay in plastic baggies after it is opened, but some of my
cut pieces from canes I'd like to store flat. Currently I have them in the
plastic containers from stamping up and they seem to be doing ok, although
polymer clay seems to adhere or almost melt some plastics. How do you store
canes? I'm new to doing them.
