A fancy wrist distaff

Hello Cathy:

It is neat to find an unrelated item and make it work for spinning
weaving or any other textile technique. Good for you.....I have made them
from kumihimo braiding as well. I also saw a photo recently of an
aboritional woman who had her roving rapped three or four times loosly
around her wrist and was spinning from it that way. I always have
problems with my roving when I try drop spindle spinning it always gets in
the way. I do most of my spinning on my three wheels....LOL for obvious
reasons.
