Default Whose due?

Once you go from 2 kids to 3, you have to switch from Man on Man to Zone
defence. But after that, any more is cinch!

Not me, I did my bit last year by producing a daughter. We are thinking
of having a third though, so this time next year the answer might be
different.

Ok, it's time to take the survey again - who is preggers in 2006?

It can be yourself or a family member.
When is the due date?
Do you know what the sex of the baby is? Twins? Triplets?
Are you making a quilt?
Bonus points for revealing the name choices.
Extra bonus points for the first RCTQ baby of the year!

Meeee!

When is the due date?

April.

Do you know what the sex of the baby is? Twins? Triplets?

Singleton, we don't know the sex.

Are you making a quilt?

I hope to. First I'm finishing one I'm making as a gift, then doing a
baby quilt for a friend, then doing mine.

Default Naming names (Who's due) Whose due?

Howdy!
My older brother, a real fan of western movies and t.v. shows,
named his first 2 boys Heath and Jarrod. The Barkleys had
other sons in The Big Valley, Eugene and Nick.
Somehow, tho', his current wife talked him out of another Barkley
name for their son. g
The latest Nevada Barr story, "Hard Truth", has a character
named Heath Jarrod. VBG Those Big Valley fans are everywhere!
On Topic: so I made my brother a quilt out of some western fabric
printed in "Wanted" posters. It matches his set of TimeLife western books.

Linda, what will your siggy be after the you become a Nana?
IRNana NanaRMe Nana4Real Nana1 ?

Cheers!

My DDIL & DS are expecting in June! I am still so excited for them. My
DS wants to know the sex but DDIL wants the surprise. In my gut I feel it
is a boy. DS is crazy about the old TV show Bonanza and they have been
calling the baby "Little Joe" (better than Hop Sing or Hoss). The
official name if it is a boy will be Joseph Daniel (DS is Joshua David).
DDIL feels great and is about 18 weeks along. She felt the baby move last
week and has a little belly starting. Did I tell you I was excited?
Quilt in the planning stages already. They want to do the room in Dr.
Suess, Cat in the Hat. I have already embroidered the CITH on a craft
apron (photo to be posted)

Default Whose due?

DH's is Jan 22nd... I am surprised the doc would make a guess. With sofi
they wouldn't gave me any estimate as to size - I thougth they would know!

Cathy wrote:

well - my Daughter is having my first grandchild - due on January 20.
They decided not to find out the gender, but it is definitely only one.
My DD is a petite person ( only 5'1"), and is carrying the babe ALL
out in front, because she has a narrow pelvis, and the babe is a good
size ( the Doc estimates it at 86th percentile). I will be making a
quilt, hope to have it finished before I go up to be there for the
birth. If its a girl, they are leaning toward Jada.

that happened to me to Sarah. Sofi slept through the night until she was
4 months. Looks like as their stomachs get bigger the milk they can hold
isn't enough to get them through the night... we solved that by having
her sleep with us, though I said I'd never to that, but you cannot beat
easy access to the food source!

After 10 weeks of sleeping through the night he's decided to start
waking up - it was every hour over Christmas! I'm exhausted.

I'd love a newfy, but I don't think I would be able to afford feeding it!

Well, it's a strange situation. Susan (our doggie trainer) has a
rescued Newfy about a year old. She was training him as an assistance
dog, but it turns out that he's afraid of men and kinda spooky and shy
and she can't break him of it. Obviously, that's not acceptable for an
assistance dog. Otherwise, he's very intelligent, willing, gentle and
loving. Susan is worried he'll play too roughly with Simon- Simon has
delicate hips from both heredity and malnutrition in his youth.
(That's before we got him, of course.) Daisy is afraid of the Newfy,
too. So, we need to make sure he's right for us and The HairyButt
Gang. My DDH wants him very much, so we're starting the process of
seeing if he'll work out, accept us both and how Daisy does with him on
her home turf- our dogs only know him from boarding with Susan. We
have all appendages crossed that it will work out, but we'll just have
to see how it goes.

Me, me, me!!! I have four granddarlings already and will add two more
this year- a 50% increase! vbg My DS#2 and DDIL with have a little
boy soon- due Feb. 4. He's Nicholas Eugene.... and very impatient to
be born. We've had a scare with gestational diabetes- controlled by
diet- and a few bleeding episodes with regular contractions. My DDIL
is on bed rest or to stay sitting down. That's pretty tough with a

two

year old in the family!

My Hunky Mr. Collins' daughter is due July 17. Don't know what sex
yet, but names have been chosen already.

This granny stuff is sooooooooo fun!!! Quilts in the works!

Grandma Leslie & The HairyButt Aunts and Uncle (soon, we hope, to add
another HairyButt to the Gang- stand by for an update on that, too!)

well they can find out by way of an ultrasound close to term. they did that
with me 3 weeks before the due date because my first born was so big (9
pounds) and I am only 5'2" if DS2 had stayed put like DS! had then he would
have been the same size. this gave me more back up to get the caesarean I
wanted and they were reluctant to give . here they work on the basis that if
you can give birth naturally it's best and one caesarean doesn't guarantee
how the next one is born.

I'm not due this year - thanks goodness! being a single mum is hard enough
with out having a new baby as well!

Default Naming names (Who's due) Whose due?

I just finished my DH's quilt named "Happy Trails"
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/frame242/my_photos As a kid he was such a
Roy Rogers fan and when I saw this fabric it was perfect. When I quilted it
I quilted the top section with Roy, second Dale, third section Trigger,
fourth Buttermilk and the last section with Wayne. I used varigated blues
and my HQ did a great job. All that is left is the label.

As far as a new name I can add, IBNana . So many choices and 22 weeks to
go. Linda in Tx

I just saw a recent study that says there is no adverse effects to a child
sleeping with the parents.
