OT dad update
Well I have spent two weeks away from my parents and needless to say it is
driving me bonkers. I had to return home to go back to work. The vent tube was removed on Thursday and dad is totally breathing on his own. The stomach tube is still in place as well as the trach itself. Yesterday my mom got to the rehab center and there is my dad sitting in a chair, dressed (first time in a long time),and waiting for her. She was so excited! He still has no concept of time. (as of last Tues he thought it was OCt and had been in the hospital for 37 weeks--granted it feels like it but more like 13 weeks). So I am remaining cautiously optomistic and hoping that we are seeing the light now. Thanks for your continued prayers, thoughts, emails, and support. You people ar simply marvelous! Grace |

Thanks for the update, Grace
Always pleased to hear of any little improvement; and this one sounds a lot more than that. Hope you are managing to get a little relaxation now yourself.
