So........ Leslie just HAD to send me a "heads up" about a fabulous
retro sewing machine she saw on Ebay - said I just HAD to have it for
my upcoming business venture because it sews through layers of dog
collar webbing and she "just wanted me to see it".... HA! I'm a sucker
for a pretty face........ so....... I bought this little
baby this morning - couldn't resist - had to have it.........

Hope this link works...... I'm sure Leslie will have it "at the ready"
in case it doesn't!!!

Thanks Leslie - I think!

Wow! That looks like a real sweet machine! I'm glad it was already sold
when I looked at the auction. It was quite tempting!

I guess whether to thank me or not depends on your next move.... if
this yummy, gorgeous old Singer machine is *instead* of buying the
Janome 6600 or the Quest, well then, I just saved you $1,000+.
BUT.... if you still have to have that new machine, too, then I guess
I cost you a pretty penny! VBG But I love old Singers. I have a
1923 Singer RedEye treadle and a 1950 (same year that I was born)
Singer model 15-91. I love them both. I was looking for a 201 for
myself, but you got it first. I need to thank *you* for saving me
some money by buying it first!

Congrats. I think you'll get many years of happy, heavy use from that
baby.

BTW Patti, should I start looking for a really cool retro cabinet for
that sweet machine? I can very innocently send you a link- just so
you can take a peek at it, of course..... VBEG

Ya know, I was just wondering where the heck I was going to find a
cabinet for that little beauty.... lol.
By the way, that was my first purchase EVER on Ebay. I'm one of those
that couldn't have been
less interested in Ebay, until now. I resisted the urge to snoop
around and see what else was there.
I think I've spent enough for today :-)

Except for that cord sticking out the side, it looks great! (I'm sewing on a
Singer 127 treadle at the moment. Love them old machines!)

I was curious about that too, so I sent the seller an email. He said
1940. I just love it and can't wait to get it!! :-)

Thrift Shops are usually good places to find cabinets.
Some may even have SM heads installed, but you could
donate one right back to the Shop if you don't need it.
