Default lettering on quilts

I want to put newsprint images of some political headlines on a wall-
hanging. Is there a way to copy and transfer/iron-on an image? If I
can't find a way to do that, I can use the computer to print onto
"Printed Treasures", but I'd like to try the former idea. Thanks for
any help.

I'm afraid most of the techniques will result in a reverse image. There is
something called "TAP"...Transfer Artists Paper...by Leslie Riley I believe.
You might investigate that. Quilting Arts magazine or Cloth Paper Scissors
magazine might have some info for you. Or you could scan the newspaper
images and then print them on treated fabric. Then you wouldn't have the
reversal problem. A direct transfer would give you backwards letters.

Sure, just google "iron-on transfer paper". You can get the stuff at
most any office supply chain, amazon, etc. This link has a how-to

With lettering, just remember to reverse the picture before printing so it's
not backwards.

How much time is it worth to you?

If the answer is "a lot", you could learn silkscreen printing.
