Default Southwest Colors?

Hi ! When it comes to colors I swear sometimes I feel as though I am color
blind. I have a request for a quilt in southwest colors. Could someone
please help out this dumb cluck and tell me what colors they might be? Hugs,
Helen in WI

Think of the colors that are left over when brilliant batiks are left
out in the sun for a few years, that pale, washed out, sun bleached
look. (I'm not making it sound attractive though I like it.)

Sea foam green
Turquoise
Butter yellow
Cream and tan
Russet
Brick

If you like, contact me privately with your snail address. (My address
is unmunged.) I'll pop some paint cards in the mail to you.

This turns out to be an interesting question. I did the briefest google
search and didn't find a page with colors on it right away. I can't
direct you to a quilting book on color that shows what I want either.
Then I went to the big online fabric stores so I could direct you to
pictures of the colors that way, but I'm unable to think of the right
key word to search for.

Think of all the colors you see in pictures of the Grand Canyon or the
Painted Desert, and add turquoise and jade to the mix.

Turquoise, coral, sand, red rock, red clay, sun yellow, cliff colors,
desert--think SW Indians (Navaho, Apache, Hopi) and Mexicans
