Default New Books!

I just ordered a bunch of new pattern books (X-stitch and ribbon embroidery)
from my book club! Woo hoo!

Ok I know the last thing I need in house with 20 unpacked boxes of books is
more books, but I'm excited! just don't tell my DH and hopefully they will
arrive when he isn't home!

This is so funny!
I have the urge to go to Barnes and Noble, there's a new Lynn Kurland out
(ok an anthology, but her stories are so readable!), the new Mary Hickmott
should be there.....

But first I have to ditch the kids or they'll tell DH!

I've never heard of those authors. What sort of stuff do they write?

My DH is really understanding about most books.... he reads more than I do!
But, I can just hear him "sigh. another craft book, love? don't you have
enough?"

My best friend works at a used book store.... we are usually swimming in
books over here!

Me too! My friend's store carries paperbacks only and doesn't get any craft
books in. however, she does take in Cookbooks just for me, and sets them
aside - not that I need more of those either.

I agree. My hubby calls it cheaper than a therapist. And if I didn't have
one I would need the other!

Luckily this is one thing my hubby thinks is fine; really needlework is

such a
"cheap" hobby compared to others.

We made a trip to Borders over the weekend while our cable was out.
They had just rearranged the entire store and the employees were useless
for assistance. I overheard several frequent customers complaining. So
I decided to skip asking for help and hit the computer. I decided I
wanted "Knitting for Dummies". It directed me to Crafts in Section A.
Ummmm, that was the magazine section! Admittedly, there were craft
magazines there but no books and I knew I was looking for a book. After
a couple laps around the store I did find it and also picked up "Sewing
for Dummies" so I might actually get those {bleeping} pants hemmed up.

Have all Borders stores done this huge reorganization?

I almost never go to Borders - I just don't like the store and I couldn't
tell you why.
But, two of my three local Barnes and Nobles have rearranged recently and it
really annoys the p*ss out of me. I want to go in, get my magazines, scan
the new mysteries, sci-fi/fantasy, romances and "remainders" (in that
order), pay and get out. Ever few months I check out the new gardening and
needlecraft titles.

But that re-organization urge isn't only at the bookstore - 2 of my grocery
stores have moved everything recently, ditto BJ's.
