My memory is really getting bad..I can't remember names of people or
things. I got out of the shower, and said to myself "I forgot to put on
the fabric softener", meaning the hair conditioner. Grrr

You can't have too much stash!!! Actually, one can. I HAVE to sort out
my stuff, and try to get it organized. Only then can I separate the
wheat from the chaff!

Getting ready to go to the airport to pick up the YMIL, who is on her
way down from NH to spend time with her daughter (from Colorado) at
Disney. They will spend overnight with us, we will show them the town
tomorrow, and then convey them to their resort.

Yes you can have too much stash if the wee mice find the lovely home in your
stash. grrrrrrrr

Oh, yes. I had the stuff mothballed but did not renew the mothballs soon
enough. I live way out in the sticks on a small farm and mice are just part of
the local ecology.

Yep, my Emmie was one of them. She was scared of mice.

One day, she was on the back porch and refused to come in for dinner. I
finally went out to see why. There was a bird perched near the kitchen
door, and it was hard to tell if the bird was more scared of the cat or
the cat was more scared of the bird!

You need a good, mouser ! I used to get mice in the fall, could never
find out where they came in, but my cat used to put paid to them pdq.
You need to determine if the cat will mouse though, apparently there
is a genetic marker that makes them mousers - studies have shown there
are cats that will starve to death while surrounded by mice.

I have several good mousers and several retired bums. The problem is mice only
need a 1/4 inch crevice to gain access, the cats need at least a 2 x 4 inch
opening. I live in the middle of a large forest land and far enough south that
mice do well most of the year. There has been drought conditions that drove all
wildlife closer to homes where water was available.

We've had our declawed, inside only cats for not quite three years
now and it's WONDERFUL to open a cupboard or drawer in the kitchen and
not have to deal with seeing mouse poop!!!!! Also, DH had some
allergy tests on Monday and the cat test showed no reaction at all.
Dust we can get rid of (well, at least control somewhat) - the cats
would have been another story. As it is now, the hills are alive with
the sound of mucus, at least until we get things under control a
little bit.

All my sympathy, though, for the mice in the stash!!!!! :-(
