If acrylic paint gets too hot, it will discolour. As to fire hazard,
you probably need to talk to the paint supplier. If you paint the outside of the glass, then it'll probably not get hot enough for trouble (unless it's a very small glass). Painting the inside might be a bit more risky. My approach to this sort of question is to try it out.
