Yes, they go the way of the wayward socks. Or, perhaps they get eatten by
the Horrible and Dastardly Gigabyte, a loathsome creature with sharp teeth
and eyes of forbidding blue, tis death to some to look at them.

Mardi, I am not sure it is the fault of the server. There is a screw loose
at my controls. My elevator doesn't go to the top floor. I am two beers
short of a six-pack . . . and that's only the beginning. Polly

Well...now I have proof that posts are disappearing, and not just from
my server. I saw this followup on my Musings on Stack'n Whack thread:

Thank you, Mardi. I've been eyeing whacking and appreciated your
findings.
Well, I _am_ going to ignore the part about addiction. I'm just going
to
have to take the risk. Polly

Since I hadn't seen LC's reply I went to Google so that I could see
the missing replies. Well, LC's post isn't in Google either.

Where do they go? Do they go to the same place where the socks that
disappear from the dryer go?

That reminds me of my favorite Gary Larson cartoon. He has a couple
of his "people" on the top of a mountain looking down into a valley
full of socks. The caption was "We found it...we found it...the
valley of the lost socks".

If your Beer Bottles are blue---they are on the kitchen table over
here--just waiting for you to come get them.
Butterfly (don't ask--I don't have the time to explain--they just ARE here)

Blue beer bottles? Mercy. I would hate to try to say that after emptying
the beer bottles. That's almost as bad as rubber baby buggy bumpers. Polly
