Okay, since there's cake, you can haze me a little bit. All I ask is that
you don't leave any visible marks. Hurt me, baby!!!

I don't normally tell people to kiss my ass (I tend to mutter under my
breath and drop the f-bomb) but I still want to be a Guttersnipe. Are
there
other options? Dues? Initiation rites? But please, no hazing.

But, JoAnn...hazing is my reason for being. :-(

Oh, okay -- no hazing. But there will be CAKE. Nothing else required.

Shove over, we can have a craving together. I'm counting the days till I
see Cheetos again! Only 25 to go.

I'm sorry Sooz... has no one told you that references to donkeys are
considered extremely derogatory these days?

Except that one is *name-calling* and personal attack, whereas the other
is an expression of distain. Do you understand the difference? A peronal
attack, however politely worded, is offensive even if the person is
literal royalty and hence inherently not low-class. (Which I am, BTW:
actually I'm middle-class now but I was raised extremely poor. You have
to pick your prejudices, I suppose.)

For example, saying "**** you" is vulgar and low-class, fit only for a
nasty little mud girl like me who was raised in poverty. However, it is
not a personal attack since it does not directly impugn anyone's person,
family, posessions, or character. However, "You engage in inappropriate
intimate acts with goats" is a personal attack.

But why? I don't understand this. It was childish and silly, but
offensive? At least mine was an invitation for her to do something to
me. Hers was just
stupid.

It is such a low class thing to say. And it was completely absurd that
people jumped one the other poster for saying the extremely mild "look
in the mirror," while ignoring the post that was tasteless.

I've been avoiding saying this...but the word "ass" is in the Bible, and is
used in Christmas carols.

But it's too low class for mjoann.

It's in my all time favorite Christmas song--which is also a religiously themed
song--and Not of my religion.

I thought it was references to elephants....

Looks like the lead donkey has chosen a decent running mate, although I'd
prefer the running mate do the leading....
