Stretchers!
Hi.
I'm doing some tapestry work that when finished, I would like to fix and display on stretchers. The stretchers I have in mind are composed of two wooden frames, one to fit inside the other and the material to be caught between the two frames then stapled to the back of the smaller frame. I have searched here in the UK, and yes, on the Internet too, but cannot find what I need. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you. Crewella |

I have one but it's an antique and I am unsure of the origin. I have no
idea where one would buy one these days but keep looking for antique ones! Might try and make one??? (not the most helpful response but I feel your pain!!) ers "Crewella" wrote in message news:AAuZb.90$8N6.6@newsfe1-win... Hi. I have located lots of round stretchers in plastic and wood, but no square wooden ones in the required varying sizes. As you suggest, it appears that I will have to get them made up. Crewella |

I don't quite know what you are looking for, but your question made me think of the wooden stretchers used to support artist's canvas. You might check an art supply store and see if canvas stretchers are suitable for your purpose. |
