Found Mary Jo's Fabric

I was attending a professional meeting about an hour's drive from Mary
Jo's Fabrics. We had one precious afternoon of free time. No one else
understood why I rented a car and drove to a fabric store. Had to pay
a full day's rental ($29) and only kept the car three hours but have
wonderful memories. Yes, one hour drive, one hour to shop and one hour
back, but it was worth it. Didn't buy much fabric but found great buys
on several trims that I still use years later.

The best buy was spools of 1" wide "ribbon" made of something like
Ultrasuede. Also found some bead trim that looks great on African
fabric art pieces. Someday I must go back and spend an entire day!

Did read a couple articles on the place. It apprears they buy about
15 t0 20 bolts of any one fabric and just might have the fabric you
could be looking for.

Apparently if you write them and send a swatch of the fabric you want,
they just might have it. This store is about the size of a super
wally world. They carry all kinds of fabric besides what we use
including upholstery and fabrics for wedding dresses, etc. Apparently
this well kept secret has been around for many years.

Do any of you know about this store. The rest of us would love to
read your comments.
