My curiosity was piqued. I searched my online version (NKJV) and the
word Marbek does not appear at all. Other translations might have it but I don't have those on the computer. I`ve no wish to talk to you about anything, to be honest, and really have no
interest in your needlework which seems to be just an extension of your anger and depression, and of looking backward instead of forward. Pat P. Do not worry about tomorrow`s troubles. The word Marbek comes straight from the Hebrew , it is probably connected to the Nativity story, in the English transalation. Why do you think the term is connected with the Nativity narrative?? I was not commenting on the company`s name , but on the term and phrase Marbek , Why does it annoy so much when i see a word and react to It`s being a Hebrew term. I was annoyed because it appeared from your post that you were insisting that the company's name came straight from the Hebrew. I wasn't annoyed that you reacted to the Hebrew term. You had already done so in an earlier post. It was the perceived insistance that was annoying. Mrs PP
I challenge you to give the name or adress of the other Ng that according to you suffers from my spite ....if it exists ????? Throwing general descriptions like this, is a known demagogery trick. . It`s noteable, too, that this isn`t the only newsgroup that suffers from your spite. As to making concessions to others i think that over the years i have objected your rude posts about Catholics , Gypsies, Unmarried mothers, Telemarketers &other minorities, all of which you attacked and i asked you to stop. consider your over-delicate feelings, but make no concessions to anyone else`s. You throw out false accusations all the time and wallow in self pity. Unlike you i never throw false accusations, you say i annoy others Ng , PROOVE IT , give a name !!!!! i kept many of your Anti-semitic and Xhenophobic posts. . Your frequent silences and reappearances Excuse me ??? i read daily , am i supposed to punch a daily card , so you know i am here , Do you pay me wages , that you have the right to check my coming and going? spitting venom indicate it as does your occasional use of fairly good English, followed by torrents of barely deciperable rubbish. A lot of the Venomous words i learnred from YOU!!! , as to rubbish or false information , check your own posts, for accuracy , only this morning i read a post By you that Says that Princess Dianne is still alive and shopping somewhere in London. It would be quite understandable if your life of constant tension and introspection exacerbated and mental problems you may have. You certainly need help and I really cannot help but feel sorry for you. Don`t bother yourself - any of your invective washes over me like water off a duck`s back. By the way - I never talk about wines - I don`t drink. The only Wines around here come from you - and they`re spelt with an "h"! Pat P. -- Do not worry about tomorrow`s troubles. I am sory you really take the whole corespondence out of i`t contents
, i took the names of DebbM `s embroideries , to make a point to her about making assumptions aboput unknown people based only on what was written in the posts here, I showed it to some Friends who commented about Said lady , by reading the names of her works. your comments when you showed somebody's signature line (who is stitching the Marbek Nativity) implied that Marbek was in some way derogatory. Perhaps that was my own mis-interpretation of a quoted post (since at the time I wasn't seeing your posts directly) and I may be completely off the mark. Nothing was/is derogatory, the word has a certain meaning and i explained that , No offence meant at all . I am soory you miinterpreted it. me. It's comments like these and the way people interpret them that I think start some of our flame wars, and I certainly don't want to see us go through another week like we did in July. Maybe the Intial first remarks that make me and some others react as we do , are the unkind ones that make wars, .....???? thank you for telling me your thoughts , Have a Fruitful day. mirjam |

There are so many versions of the Bible , so mant versions of the
nativity story , i remember it clearly because it seemed so odd at the time , and my teacher than , explained that it came fromthis direct conotation of Feeding place ,,,, Some things are stuck in one`s memory because of their oddity. mirjam Mirjam Bruck-Cohen wrote: Well i am sure i read , years ago in my first reading of the story in English ,,, You read the word, the actual word "marbek" in an English language version? I'm sure you're mistaken. "Marbek" has no meaning in English at all. "Mirjam Bruck-Cohen" . Because years ago i once read it in an English version of the story , and lately when i checked it is translated into Feeding -Stall . , Interesting. The translation in most current versions is manger, which is indeed a feeding place for animals, and is, as you could guess by looking at it, derived from the same French roots as the verb "manger", to eat. I wonder if the words share a long-ago ancestor. Dawne |
