Default OT - Spare a thought

for me tomorrow (Wednesday) morning as I head off into another job
interview. This one is for a school close to home, 4 days per week with
school holidays off. DH thinks I'm a shoo-in seeing as how the business
manager of the school I worked for last term is good friends with the
principal/headmaster of THIS school and has (I'm sure) put in some good
words. Me? Well I'm one of those fussy-worrying about everything kinda
people who suck at interviews.

Thanks Linda! One of my favourite questions (not!) is "Tell us about your
strengths" - I know what they are (I'm damned good at my job!) but I hate
bragging. DH was coaching me last night while I was quilting, some of what
he said made sense.

And even worse when you are trying to boost your self confidence is "what
are your weaknesses". I fall all over myself during an interview.

I've always heard it's good to make your "weakness" a positive. Such as
"I'm a perfectionist." or something that fits with your personality. My
weakness is that I'm too conscientious & often take on too much, so as to
ensure the job gets done properly. (Good for the employer - not so great
for me Retirement is good!!

LOL - haven't struck that one yet and hope to heaven's I don't tomorrow. I
now know that Christmas Cake is NOT one of my weaknesses - the one I baked
tonight was divine. I did one proper cake and one smaller test cake. Tell
me, how long do you marinate your fruit for in alcohol before cooking?
