I finished a local college - that's not a degree - that's a diploma

See....here's where you said you had FINISHED college....rather than finished
one year, or finished one semester.

I just wanted to be sure you saw why I had that impression...from your words.

Not me. I truly and honestly couldn't care less what people think of me. I am
completely powerless over that. I care about the people in my life, my dear
friends, and I do mean dear and my husband, my best friend of all. He turned 43
today.

I CERTAINLY don't care to look like know-it-all. The fact is, I do know a lot
about a lot of things. In depth. Not surface.

But I do know your meaning.

I read Ayn Rand many, many years ago. Really too many years ago so now

I'm
going to have to trot off to the library (well my trotting days are over

so
I'll drive) and get The Fountainhead out and see if I like it as much

the
second time around as I did the first time. And talk about

controversial
females--boy was she one.

I never noticed a biography on her but I'll be sure to watch for it

because
as you said, she was one interesting dame.

Apparently they are going to do a movie of Atlas Shrugged.

The funny thing is that if you weren't still going on about it, the
topic would have died by now

The really funny thing is that one of the flowers actually took that
description, sorta, from here into the Garden.

I would have thought that doing so would be especially hurtful to Marilyn, but
I guess the flowers know best.

I said what Community Colleges were like HERE, and said I hoped they were

But you were wrong about what community colleges are like here and Sarah
certainly isn't the only one to infer that you think she's too stupid
for "real" college. How else did you mean "oh they're for people who
can't afford or can't get into a four year college" to be interpreted?

I have apologized for that sweeping generalization already.

I am sorry I said it.

I explained why I said it, and it was based on personal experience.

I had a hospital eye clinic appointment yesterday . (They found a lesion on
a routine opticians check which may have been melanoma) The specialist is
still not sure about it and I have a check in 3 months to check if it's
grown any . I hate with a vengeance the eye drops as it leaves me unable to
do anything I want for the rest of the day

I hope that all will be well in 3 mos when they check again.

Being told to wait and see is probably the most stressful thing a doctor can
suggest isn't it?

Sounds like you raised your 15 yr old well, as he acted very responsibly today!

Good Luck!

Tere!!! Where have you been so long? I have missed your postings. I have been
wondering if you were "madeupagain" from The Happy Hookers, but when Maude
started and then you posted head injury, I was sure. Good to "see" you again.
