S (Karen C - California) had some very interesting
things to say about Odd design decision:

BTW, Missy, how's Merlin? Shouldn't you be working on him instead of going off
in yet another direction? sticks out tongue

Merlin is resting. Since I was on XS hiatus for a while, I'm working
back up to a project that size. :-)

All right then, if it's resting I'll wake it up. Hello, Polly! I've got a
nice cuttlefish for you when you wake up, Polly Parrot!

There, it moved.

No he didn't. That was you pushing the cage.

I did not.

Yes, you did. Hello, Polly, Polly. Polly Parrot, wake up. Polly. Now that's
what I call a dead parrot.

No, no, it's stunned.

It's not pining, it's passed on. This parrot is no more. It has ceased to be.
It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late parrot. It's a
stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you hadn't nailed it to the
perch, it would be pushing up the daisies. It's rung down the curtain and
joined the choir invisible.

Now, then Seanette, having determined that the *Parrot* is bleedin' demoysed,
shall we also declare Merlin pahst-tense, expahred, gone off to permanent
UFO-Land?

So does Merlin, if she'd ever get her butt in gear and finish him. I finished
MINE. Wanna see?

PS - DH has this book of the Mighty Python scripts - have you seen it? I
think it must be one of his charming quirks that got me when we were going
from friends, hockey-buddies to more. That, and of course, he's memorized
most if not all of it. We have a tendency to do the dead parrot skit when
at bad hockey games - BEAUUUUUUTiiiful Plumage - some kind of catch phrase
for oh, well - they stink, but....

Nope, he's just resting. ;-)

He can rest when he's dead. Hop to, get Merlin the First up on the wall, so
you can start Merlin the Second.

I can top that....DH got a roll of MP toilet paper last year! We still
have it-- use it only in dire emergency, but it makes for amusing
reading material vbg
