Default OT - she made it thru her op

mil made it thru her surgery yesterday and was resting comfortably
last night when dh went in to see her, whewwwwwwww. hopefully her
recuperation will go as well with no infections or complications.
huge thanks to all who sent their best wishes and prayers for her.
she was back on the ward about 6pm last night.
its a long drive for her two dds, one is about 2 hrs each way across
town after work during rush hour making it hard to get there for much
of a visit when the visiting hours finish at 8pm. we're trying to see
if they can move her to another hospital now. one that is more central
to the 3 of them for visits. she was in that one back in july so
they'd know her as well.
sorry just rambling now that some of the initial stress has been
relieved.

ds started his first job on monday too. part time telemarketing
selling the sunday newspaper and sky tv. the pay is good for his age
with the incentive of commission added when they make sales. its a
long bus ride into town adding nearly 2 hrs to the working evening of
3 hrs on the phone. i just hope he appreciates that he is learning
some valuable life skills as well. i hope it improves his manners at
home.

dh picked up the lovely mahagony box with fils ashes in it on monday
as well.
what a week this has been. make that month. i'm feeling a bit better
now though. not had a headache in 9 days now. those anti biotics must
of killed more than just the e-coli i picked up somewhere. whatever it
was, i'm sleeping better as a result, always a good thing when you get
enough sleep.
still no phone call from sil bout fil or from dh to his sister bout
dad or mum.
i've offered to call her myself but dh says not to bother as she was
in the wrong and its up to her to contact us when/if shes going to. oh
well....

i'm now into oct and had planned to be over and done with all the
usa/canada stuff by now but here i sit still in nz. its getting
ridiculous really.
at this point it might be the shortest trip i can manage in order to
be back in time to help dh with the xmas rush at work. if i cant get
back to xmas someone else will need to help him. not as easy as it
sounds.
why'd i agree to all this in the first place. did i have a choice...
might go back to bed today. maybe i'll wake up and it'll be all over
and done with or just a really long bad dream.

still me rambling, lol

I'm glad to hear that at least that much has gone well! My thought and
prayers are still with you, though, for you all to be able to deal with
the stress you're experiencing. Go ahead and ramble -- sometimes it's
really helpful to get it all off your chest.

Very glad to read that your MIL made it through the operation. I hope she
continues to do well. As for you, take good deep breaths and try to relax.
All I can do is send sincere hugs, Linda in Tx

Sending hugs and all the energy I can spare from Tucson. Sounds like you
need them! Wish I could help. Glad the headaches have gone away, at least!
