Default Done dirty by Thomas the Tank Engine

OW!

Here I am quietly minding my own buisness, reading and posting to
usenet, when DH hollers "The washer is done!".

I happily pop up and go fetch our Ash's finally finished quilt out of
the machine and go to hang it up to dry.

I am looking it over as I walk, to make sure all my lines came out.
Ash is trying to climb up my back because he wants his quilt.
Suddenly I step on something, my foot slides and down I go.
All I can recall about the fall, was trying to shove Ash out of the
way, trying not to do a split and being hampered in all of it by
holding on to a big old heavy wet quilt.

Next thing I know is I am laying on the hardwood floor, trying to
remember how to breath, and Ash is sitting holding my head and looking
right into my eyeballs going "bawaji? OK? OK?"

DH said he knew I was OK when I handed him the quilt and waved in the
general direction of the door when he came to a slideing stop next to
me.

I think I'll live.
I also think I wrenched my hip.
I ache!

What was thing I stepped on?
One of those little metal Thomas the Tank Engines of course.
I know I picked all of those wee trains up and put them up not half an
hour before I stepped on him.
At least it wasn't Gordon.

DH is wicked, he is humming "He's a really useful engine you know..."

Are you okay? Have you recovered? Can I laugh now? ((((hugs)))) I know
how you feel - we have those wretched Barbie accessories that do it to me
every time. Now the girls know if mummy's vacuuming any toys left on the
floor get sucked up never to be seen again. Typical DH though isn't it?
Tell him it's Thomas' turn to cook dinner, grab a blanky and go lay on the
couch!

You poor thing! I hope it's nothing more than a bruise and that you'll
feel better soon.

Go ahead!
Laugh at my poor bruised "dignity".
DH cooked tonight, a nice warming stew and fresh bread.
It always makes him want to make a good stew when it snows, which it
did today.

I am mostly recovered, just got the wind knocked out of me and mangled
about a little. A good nights sleep put me to rights.

All the marks came out fine.
A couple of my joins are a little wobbly, but I knew that before I
washed it
