Default Help, bad bead seller

I'd like to have your opinion on this:

I bought lampwork beads from the web site of a beadmaker from whom I've
bought on eBay before. We are both in Canada and mail between us is 3 days.
I paid with a postal money order dated the first week of April. Still
haven't receive my beads after over a month now, and the seller is not
answering my numerous e-mails. I know she is still around as she is posting
new beads for sale on eBay. At this point, I am thinking of sending a claim
at the BBB and I don't know where else... she should or refund my money or
send the beads.

Denise, ebay has some steps you can take in this case( I recently had to do
this, too) You can request the seller's contact information, and give her a
phone call. If that still doesn't work, I would then suggest you take further
measures. I sure hope this works for you. When I went thru it, I lost 15
bucks because my transaction was covered by buyer's protection.

I wish I could... my purchase was made thru her website, not thru eBay. I
will try to get her phone number that way though. Thanks for the idea

ebay won't disclose her number unless you have a current transaction with
her. I think your best bet is to go through the BBB. Do you have the
receipt for the money order? You can track the money order to see if it was
cashed - at least with US Postal money orders you can. I am not sure about
Canada's Postal money orders. See if you can find out whether or not the
money order was cahsed, and who cashed it. Then you can proceed from there.
Send her a registered letter (if you find out it was her that cashed the
money order) letting her know she needs to send the beads or you will file a
suit against her. That usually gets the ball rolling. My guess is that the
money order was lost, especially if you have had successful dealings with
her before. If that's the case, the money order tracking should lead you to
where it is, if it's been cashed or deposited.

oohh double yuck! I wish I could help you more with this, but I'm without
useful info. I've only bought from one person not on eBay and that transaction
went perfectly.

Hopefully someone else here can help!

Yes, I have my money order receipt so I will try to have them check on it.
I think if the money order was lost or else, she would at least answer my
e-mails. I know she is around as she added more auctions on ebay :-(
Thanks for your insights Kandice

denise -- here in the US mail fraud is a serious crime. I actualy went through
the FBI (no ****) but it was the postal mail service that got some results for
me. Personally, I would threaten legal action. Tell her if you don't get the
beads or a refund in 10 days (gotta give her time to actually replace the
beads, which when you make them, may take a while) then you are filing legal
charges against her. That should at least get you a response.

I have used threats several times when the seller would not send me my stuff.
I only had to actually file charges on one, and I got my money back. I don't
like threatening people, however, I want to point out that they were never
empty threats. I had every intention of getting my stuff and -- so far-- I
always have.
