I just bought the 'Supreme Slider' (a newer version) at my LQS - but haven't tried quilting yet. It's size does seem perfect for my Bernina table extension - no need to cut it. When I googled for it, I came up with a link that also shows a silicone mat that is heat resistant and can be used for fusible appliqué as well. It is a bit bigger than the other. I suspect it would be great if you had a cabinet that lowers the machine to be even with the table. http://softexpressions.com/software/...SewingMach.php Lisa in NJ |

I had the original "slider" which I loved - except for the fact that it
had to be taped down. Blasted tape kept coming undone at the worst moments. So then I switched to the larger "sewslip" which you see at the link below. I really like how it doesn't need tape and I like the larger size since my machine extension is big. (I didn't realize that it was heat resistant too - that could come in handy). I see that the newest version of the "slider' also does away with tape. Allison L wrote: "amy in CNY" wrote in message ... One thing that might help- if you have some waxed paper tear off a sheet and
rub it over the machine and table where the fabric touches. When I was a kid we used to sit on a piece of waxed paper on the slide when it was sticky from humidity and/or sweaty kids, and after 2-3 trips down the slide it was smooth sliding again. Or- you could try furniture dusting spray wax- Pledge or that kind- not the oily kind like Liquid Gold. That seems to leave a slicker surface. I'd try the wax paper first, though. HTH Jane in NE Ohio- Might get to stop at Mary Jo's in Gastonia next week, The "Card" is all warmed up & ready to go! Yee-Hah!! P.S. Congrats on 12 smoke-free days! "simpleseven" wrote in message ...
