I've got to fill out the entry forms for our guild's show tonight. I'm
having a tough time deciding what to put in. We can enter up to 15, I have a
list of 10 possibles. But winnowing down is turning out to be harder than I
thought, because everything on the list of possibilities is either finished
or nearly finished.

David says enter it all. But somehow, that seems "show-offy" to me.

I agree with David! It just turns out that this year you happen to
have lots of goodies ready. Next year perhaps only one or two.

Okay then, let's not think of it as 'showing off'. How about Sharing?
Maybe your entries will inspire and encourage, or perhaps bring back a
precious memory. I love to see other quilters' stitching - even the
beginners. Polly

David is right -enter all of them! Especially if the guild chooses
what to hang from among all the entries. I know I'd surely like to see
all of your quilts!

From someone who has helped organize guild shows and who has gone to
many shows as well - please enter all your quilts!! *If* by some
chance, there are too many quilts for the space you have for your show
then the organizers will help you winnow. But it is *much* more likely
that your productivity will be greatly appreciated by them. And also by
the viewers who would rather see your work than a blank space on the wall.

And as for being show-offy.....I`ve always liked this quote from Walt
Whitman which seems to apply he

If you done it, it ain’t bragging.

Thanks everyone, I did end up putting them all in. The space we have is at
the State Fairgrounds and its huge. So the likely problem seems to be that
the organizers are worried we'll have too few quilts, not too many.

I'm with David. If you got it, flaunt it!
