hee hee hee -- sounds lovely to me.
I have a rubber bat by my bed with a doll arm protruding from its open,
fiendishly-toothed mouth.....(Bat's name is Bubonic)

This 'found' doll has been riding on my good ex's truck bumper for years!
The image has been filtered/enhanced in Photoshop but ya get the idea! At
Christmas we used to put a Santa hat on her... She has managed to hang on
for years... through rain, snow, 4-wheeling and big mountains!!! She's
like a member of the family now!

That's a hoot! Cool pic, too.

Thank you Cindy! I love hands and faces too. I think the hand beads are my
absolute favorite to make though. Each one is a totally different little
critter. My mom finds them VERY creepy; little dismemberments. But then,
I've always thought people's hands...and tattooes, scars, and other
markings...tell the interesting stories.

well, i also felt little uncomfortable watching them.. i mean, i couldnt
wear necklace made from arms... it reminds me on those maniacs that were
making necklaces from human ears or noses here during the war... uh.

thanks for the thought, tho! yes, its one of the wonderous parts of Ready
Stamp sets--you can almost always find a place to cram one more little stamp
design. I have those three drawer plastic boxes, and normally keep the
rubber pretty contained in there...but I lost my anchor at last year's
retreat. Dropped it, might as well be at the bottom of the sea as at the top
of the mountains!

So easy to squeeze one of those onto a plate, huh? Yahoo! I'd send
you one if I had one in my rubber collection -- but I don't. Sorry, Sj.

dontcha just love it when people get weirded out over dolls and such? I
remember a kid visiting my kid, who asked "is your mom making cookies?" and
my kid very matter of factly said "no, she's got heads in the oven."

Sarajane,
Well I have to say I have heard about people have weird feelings about
things looking "amputated" like the classic torso with no arms, legs or
head. I like the torso, maybe you can make one with a tat, and a
belly ring...some kind of jump ring through the center. I think people
would go animal for those....so rebellious and a discreet way to say
they have one of those, or wish they did. I am so full of ideas. If
anyone ever needs one, just ask
my cup runneth over and I like to share!!!!!!
All of us artists can get rich, there is enough customers to go around

A lot of people have gotten creeped out walking into my mom's sewing
room. Its a huge room and one side has shelves full of porcelain dolls
from tall Shirley Temples and Scarlett O'Haras to tiny Betty-Boops and
chubby Boss Hogg. Cute, right?

Turn around and the second room has an couple of innocent sewing
machines and... shelves and shelves of body parts!!! Arms, legs, heads,
wigs, tiny, large... and not a few either! hehehe

I find it funny when people think its creepy... all looks normal to me!

funny you should say that about torsos. I'm using a "spade" (cardsuite)
cutter to make the bail part of the pendants, and spades upsidedown look
very much like headless armless footless torsos. WEll, they do to ME,
anyway....

executed and envisioned!

and yet....it was in the American Civil War era--also the same time as the
Victorian Era, and the preceding Crimean and the Boer Wars, that the rate of
severed limbs was absolutely highest, ever. That was the only treatment
then, no sulfa, no penicillin, limited knowledge of germs, even---you had
any injury to a limb and it was bye-bye, one way or 'tother .

Oh, I would! Genuine or figurative... Even if there is no absolute
'soul' or spirit, it would feel like... a sort of silent respect or
having an echo of inherent energy/power.

If ya know what I mean, because I'm not sure I do! lol

You should see Kalera's creepy-doll collection. As Simon & Garfunkle
said, "Most of all you've got to hide it from the kids."
