OT- Gone for awhile

I'm not an old regular, but I am a fairly new regular and even though I
don't post a lot I wanted to let you all know that I would be gone awhile
due to the death of my dear Father-in-law. He had an aneurism near his
heart that burst last night. Both my parents died many years ago and my
DH's Mom died a few years ago so this is the last of our combined parents.
We live in Missouri and DH is from South Carolina (Columbia) so we will be
flying down there as soon as we can, probably tomorrow. It seems like we
have been hearing too much of this kind of thing around here recently and I
hope this is the last one for a long time.

Even though I don't post a lot I wanted to let you know I haven't left you,
just gone for a bit. You have all already come to mean a lot to me with all
your kind words and great help. I just wanted to share why I won't be here.

We might not have noticed for a few days, but you would then have been
missed. Such a sad time for you and your DH. I hope that at least all
the official stuff goes without problems, so that you can grieve for
your FIL and then start remembering the happier times.
