Default scrappy quilt & ot

a scrappy quilt I have had stuck away for the last few months I finished it
yesterday, I am still behind from last year, esp. with the BOM quilt from
DHQ.

I gave the scrappy quilt to my father-in-law, which he now has on his bed,
since he lost his wife is doing much better, but still needs 24/7 care.

I have moved all of my quilting over to his house, and it is helping
somewhat, but since this cold snap hit here, I will not go into the den (
where my sewing machine is) as he only has a very little amount of SS to
live off of now, and I don't wish to have to heat that part of the house up.

I only wish I could have finished a quilt for my Mother-in law befor she
passed away.. It has been one month to the date today.
But at least now my father in law is receiving the care he needs.. since we
have been taking care of him, he has put on 5 pounds! we are now working on
getting a PT out so he will not loose his ability to walk,
we have noticed that his good hand is becoming poor, So hopefully he will
get the help he needs that we cannot give him.
but 5 pounds is a good start esp. when he was a week in the hospital.

No one knows how much longer he has, He could leave us any day, or may hang
on for years. At least now he does know how much we love him. and I did get
to finish up the quilt for him.

I am glad to report that my Son's nose is now fixed and since the 7th of
this month hasn't had one nose bleed since it was fixed.

DD had her heart test on the 13th, and no murmur was found on the testing, I
have the paper work from the test here, and I am a bit worried still on
something else.. and we have not heard or have a appt to see the Dr.

As for myself, I am once again putting my health on the back burner, but I
really don't have a lot to worry about anymore.
If anything happens at least my family will have the quilts, and that is
something that they will never forget..
I do think you for teaching me what I now know,, ( hugs) to everyone here.

I do my best to keep up and at least download messages every day or every
other day. but I still don't have the time to read and reply to each note
here..
until things change, this is how it will have to be.

Missing everyone

Hullo Christina
It is lovely to hear from you. You are much missed, when you are not
around. But, you have such a lot on your plate at the moment. Just as
long as you can pop back from time to time; but your chair will wait for
you until whenever. I didn't realise you were having worries with the
children also. I'm so sorry. You take care of yourself with all this
going on - it's not selfish, so many folk need you.
Do take care.

We've missed you too, Christina! I think of you often, can you feel those
cyber (((((hugs)))))? Congratulations on a finished quilt!
Now you be sure to look after yourself better -with so many people depending
on you, it would be foolish to put your own health on the back burner.
