Pat --

Thank you so much. The pattern is "Hidden Wells" by Mary Ellen Hopkins.
From the back of the pattern it says -- 1989. Publisher -- ME Publications,
18627 Brookhurst Street, Suite 348, Fountain Valley, CA 92708.
1-714-964-8182 or 1-714-964-2549. ISBN 0-929950-01-1. Maybe that
information could help you to find the pattern. I would love to send you
the quilt but I don't have your snail mail, plus I am planning on redoing
our master bedroom in blues so I think I should probably keep it for my
bedroom, don't you think??? Especially since it was my first quilt??? I
knew you would understand. :-)

Oh man ... that is too cool! What is the pattern/source? But I
like it just the way you did it. That blue version would look
terrific in my guest room. Do you have my snail addy?

Elena --

Thank you so much. I have posted the info about the quilt in the other
thread, but if you want more info just e-mail me. And yes, that is me
holding it up -- late at night in my pajamas, lol. Actually I think that
was on Friday night and I ended up staying up all night on Friday and
stitching, lol.

about
that pattern again! lol That's a wonderful quilt. Is that you holding

her
up?
I'm just thrilled that you got it up. Congratulations on perservering and
figuring out how to do it! Jeanne is such a peach! *waves to her*

Elena in Tx, off to Google, to see if I can re-read that thread.

Thanks so much. And yes, it is my first quilt. I know I could have done a
better job in some places, but I still love it.

Baltimore Album is (to this non-applique-er) a highly complicated and
painstakingly detailed applique quilt, only accomplished by highly-skilled
and completely nutzo quilters! See examples:
http://www.tfaoi.com/aa/2aa/2aa561.htm

My first (and second and third) quilts were squares, tied, not quilted. Not
fancy, no secondary patterns, not nearly as sophisticated as your first
quilt. I still haven't done anything that appears as complicated as yours!

Lol, thanks. I have already done an encore -- a tumbling block done in
blues and whites (of course, lol). Now you will have to explain to this
inexperienced quilter what a Baltimore Album is.

The pattern is available on line. Not sure exactly where I found it a couple of
months ago. Just search for quilt patterns, Hidden Wells.

Thank you. LOL, I would be glad to take your stash off your hand --
especially any blues and purples that you have (only kidding). I don't know
if the pattern is still available, hopefully it is. I think our instructor
may have had the quilt shop order copies that we were to go in and pick up.
The pattern was published in 1989 but we didn't get it until probably 2001,
so it might still be available.

Coleen - its absolutely gorgeous - is the pattern yours, or where is
it from?
