Prym snap fastener directions
I have a Prym snap fastener that has always worked well, except, IIRC,
for the "anorak" or "camping" snaps. I don't use the set very often since lately I don't get to sew often enough, but I've never had a problem picking it up and remembering how to use it. Until today. I laid the box out in front of me and it fell on the floor, so I don't know for certain if I got everything back in right. :-( As a result of this mishap, I have two questions. 1. can someone scan the directions or have you seen them online so I can read them and make sure I'm doing it right? even a picture of the set as they originally came would help so I can make sure I'm using the right attachments. 2. does anyone else have a problem with the camping or anorak snaps? I'm trying to put a dark colored snap on a pair of pants to replace the velcro (velcro! who puts velcro on the waistband?! it was abercrombie, etc, btw). I cut the hole with the punch, assembled the snap with the outer piece nestled in the plastic nestler, and the "female" part of the snap over the other side that looks like a "male" piece of the snap but is smaller and harder. (yikes!) I smash the two pieces together, mush hard, so hard that the installer that looks like the male bit got stuck, and when I pull it apart, the whole thing falls apart! I've gone through three snaps without getting one installed- almost as bad as the icky Dritz I had prior to buying this set. what can I do to get a good, bit snap installed? one that is correct for a pair of pants? -------------- Kate, mom to Ursula (9), Sage (6.5) and Benno (3!) http://www.cs.colorado.edu/~kolina/a...f-formula.html "The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it - Flannery O'Connor |
