Wednesday I begin my chemo. My port is in...it feels odd but will save me

The day before the chemo I have to get a bone scan...the nuclear kind. I
guess they can tell from hot spots.
I'll keep you posted.
Thank you for all the support. It really has meant more than words can
express.
Hugs,

I'll be thinking of you on Wednesday and on, Pami. I hope you have an
easy time of it, with a definitive cure.

I had the bone scan once before and had to bring the films back then...it
was odd...I am having it done in the same hospital as the doctor's
office...he can look at the films there...

You may be surprised, Pami. They seem to cheer everyone up, so I
understand. It might be just what you need - I find children can be
most inspiring. They are so strong - without needing to put a brave
face on - they just act it like it is.
Anyway, don't worry about something that might not happen (my great
fault g so I feel I can say that!)
Will keep on 'storming heaven', especially at Mass on Thursday.

Pami, I missed the original post but wanted you to know that my prayers are
with you. I know what you mean about the rain. It seems like it's been
raining here on Long Island for the past month. Ok I know that it hasn't but
still...lol...

Good luck with the bone scan and chemo.

Hugs and prayers,
Mika

Good luck with the chemo. The port will certainly make it easier for you.

Sort of "offering up" your suffering as a present to God....which I guess
makes sense to some people, but has always struck me as a bit
pretentious....kind of making yourself a "mini-Jesus"......

"count my suffering as payment for my sins" (isn't that heresy?) or "count
my suffering as payment for the sins of all those strangers out there"
(ditto)......

Yep, Jesus paid for all the sins of the world.....except for the ones God
needs *you* to suffer for. Kind of muddy theology, iffen you ask me. Even
iffen you don't.

Then again, I'm not much into any sort of deity who picks people to
suffer....pain and suffering being part of life, any life, any species, that
I can handle. But a deity who arbitrarily assigns suffering by choice,
nope, not welcome on *my* altar.....

Can anybody tell me

give it up to the lord? I am giving it a fight with chemo.
