Well THAT sucks. Please keep us posted. I just went through the whole

house
thing last year, and still have the new grey hairs to prove it.

Good luck!

We're moving stuff in today! And I replaced the HEINOUS cailing
fan/light in the kitchen with this:
http://snurl.com/irvington

Next, to remove the horrifying black 80's toilet and replace it with an
art deco loboy. The bathroom gets to be deco because the tub is deco and
I don't feel like removing a cast-iron built-in tub just so the bathroom
can look like 1909... besides, the bathroom wasn't put in until the 30's
so deco is as authentic as anything.

Thank you! I'm sure I'll be posting lots of house posts now, as we do
all the work to make it *ours*!

Oh, and I should have mentioned that the fixture in the link in my other
post isn't *exactly* what we put in the kitchen... envision it with
three arms instead of four, and in polished nickel instead of brass. And
different shades.

And I put a Mission lantern with orange glass on the front porch!

Ooh - sounds nice. I hauled my Rejuv catalog out and am determined to
have at least one of their lights in my house, or even better in my
studio.
