It's looking wonderful. What beautifully long clamps. Can't wait to
see it all polished/varnished.

Gorgeous, John. I'm glad you got this far with it before I have to leave
-- I was actually hoping it would be completely finished so I could see
it. G Or that you'd decide you didn't really want it and would send it
to me.

Beautiful, just beautiful.
I always used to hate the next bit - it looks so pretty and then you
have to 'mess it up' with the sanding!!

Here is a view of the lower case with three coats of varnish on it. I
will see in the morning if that is sufficient. If so, then it is
polish and wax and carry it upstairs and load it up. If not, then
another coat should do it.

For those of you who have been following this thread, I started
another posting on the forum but you may have missed it. Here is a
picture of the finished case. The last three pictures are of the
cabinet in place and filled with thread, and tapestry yarn in the top
case, and cones, embroidery thread, and serger thread and excess
tapestry yarn in the bottom. This job is now complete. I am very happy
with it and I hope you all like it. It is time to get back to
quilting.
