Default OT - Taking a break

My friend Nikki came round today for about 2 hours, and we sat about
and drank tea, had lunch, and she read some of my Roald Dahl books
while I puttered. Then, I got out the blocks for the twin quilts I'm
assembling for my lecturer's new twin grandbabies. Nikki had never
pinned anything before in her life, but she helped me pin the vertical
sashing bits to the blocks, and then the sashing posts to the
horizontal sashing bits, on both the blue and the pink quilts.
She went away, and I went back to studying, but when I took a break
later, I was able to do all the sewing on all the pinned bits on the
blue quilt in about 15-20 minutes. Wow. I wish I had more friends
who would come over and help me pin! All you folks who have quilty
friends or sisters or relatives, you are spoiled! I usually have to
do everything myself, so it was fun to get help today. All I had to
do was give her tea, juice and a banana. That's a pretty good rate to
me!
Right, break over....

Jo,
Don't you know that Mat is supposed to help you pin? One source tells me
that men are good for more than just carrying out the dust bin and reaching
the top shelf.

Believe me, if he were on the same continent, I might just ask for
help. But he is still in LA, and won't be back here until July...
right before I go to Russia! Mnye nye povyezlo...(I'm unlucky)
