My latest project
I made this bag for the gift exchange we have at our small group's
Christmas party. I have to say this was a real bear to make! The bag is has a layer of two sided fusible Timtex stabilizer on the sides. The bottom has TWO layers of Timtex. Sewing that seam to attach the bottom to the sides nearly did me in. Well I thought so at the time. It was handsewing the bias edging to the stabilized fabric that was the killer. My hands hurt for a couple days. I hope my friend likes it! http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/...53918257nmpnaS |

Awesome, Kathyl! Absolutely awesome. I just don't know how in the world

Well done! In spite of all the pain, it looks great. If she doesn't like
it (and that shouldn't be even a remote possibility!), I'll be glad to come down and take it off your hands. -- Louise in Iowa nieland1390@mchsi dot com http://community.webshots.com/user/louiseiniowa Kathyl wrote: I made this bag for the gift exchange we have at our small group's Christmas party. It is wider than the Timtex but was 7.99 at Joann's (before coupons). I already had two rolls of the Timtex here, so I spliced it together. I also had all the fabrics in my stash. The plaids for the bias were fat quarters that I also had....and I buy very few plaids. So other then buying the pattern, I used everything else from my stash. I'll have to think twice before tackling this again. |

That turned out wonderful. Wow that is one cool bag. You
did a terrific job on it. Gosh, this year without a broken leg or weddings should mostly seem a breeze to you. Taria "Kathyl" wrote in message ... I bought the pattern during my multi state shop hop. There was one made up at a quilt shop and they were offering a class. I wonder if there are some tips and tricks I could have learned! |
