Default The Annual Christmas Rant :-)

From: stitcher

..... PS we also give (donate) a very large mature tree each year to
Boston Mass, USA as a thank you for help given many years ago
following the Halifax explosion. This years tree stood for some 60
yearsI think it was, in a local church yard.

I don't live anywhere near Boston but you have my sincere thanks anyway
:-)))! I just hope the folks up Boston way remember to thank you properly!!

Then, there's

She was there first and wanted one of their 29 dollar DVD players. She's in the
hospital. How cheery!

And Walmart's initial response to this? "we'll set aside a DVD player
for her and honor the early bird price, we want her to come back as a
customer"... WHAT??????????? Do they honestly think that after the
pain and suffering she just went through that she's going to come
BACK? And what about the medical bills and loss of income and
everything else that she's now going to incur? Is a $29 DVD player
going to take care of any of that? PUHLEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(rutroh, I'm sounding like TiaMary LOL)

Just one more reason to stay home and stitch on Black Friday!

Of course they want her back as a shopper - better than the Plaintiff!!

My DH says she should sue for the videotape and then go after the people who
trampled her. My parents are down in that area visiting my brother. Mom said
there are reports of a woman with young children who saw what was going on.
She reportedly told the kids to grab the DVD player.

Ironically, Sears had a DVD player on sale for $28. I work at the mall so
at 1:30pm on Black Friday I walked down and looked at it. A saleskid (are
they all so young??) asked if I needed help. I asked about the DVD player
and he said they were out of them. I asked if it could be ordered, he said
yes. I asked if I'd get that price, he said yes. I asked if I'd have it by
Christmas, he said yes. I said sold. Should have it by this Friday.

I can't tell people to stay home on Black Friday but I can tell everyone to
shop carefully and wisely.
