Wow, this is so great! I love knowing what everyone wants! Can I add
my wish list also? I am so new, and hardly have built my stash, aside
from left over fabrics from projects. I am interested in black &
whites, white & blacks, batiks, hand dyeds, and novelity fabrics like
ones with sushi, retros, oh and lavender & green fairy prints &
coorinates.....

I missed the previous thread. I've been very busy machine quilting my first
project. My weaver fever quilt will finally be finished very
soon.........I've put myself on a deadline...........by this time next week

You can add me to the list and my choice is not fussy but maybe perhaps the
primary colours.

Diana, will you be posting the completed list soon?? Very Handy list so
thanks you

Ann.

Pat in VA...words, letters, building materials (wood, stone, bricks)

Aren't building materials rather easy? There seem to be more
wood/stone/brick fabrics around at the moment than we can afford
to buy, and I'm sure most of them are American. I have an idea
for a quilt that would semi-abstractly depict this village - it
needs tarmac, creosoted picket fences, black iron railings, red
brick, grass, red-painted timber and grey rectangular roofing
slates (it's a planned mining village, all the houses are built
from the same materials on a regular grid in a very un-Scottish
way). The tarmac isn't easy and the roofing slate seems nearly
impossible as it's unknown in any of the places where fabric comes
from.

georg.... plumbing theme/ privies

Now that's making it difficult. Privies? I suggested that as the
only way to get a W into a Turkish alphabet quilt but a *whole*
quilt of them? A standard outhouse (as in "The Specialist" or
"Dinkum Dunnies") might make a nice design, though (complete with
the little crescent moon in the door and basket of corncobs outside).

This one will be hard (i think)...and I might need everyone's help.

Willing
to make a trade if I can help you out too.

I have decided to start a new project and an looking for "Movie

Theatre
Themed" fabric.

We turned our rec-room into a movie theatre style living space. Now I

would
like to make a few lap quilts with this theme in mind.

So, I am now officially looking for the following type of fabrics...or
anything else that you may think of:

Popcorn
Movie Cameras
Movie Stars
Director Chairs
TV's
Clapboards

Anything else I am missing?

I will take pictures of my recroom to give you inspiration if you need

it.
Check out my webshots for pictures (Coming Soon to a Computer Screen

Near
You!)

PS: Thanks everyone in advance.

Mel,
What size are you looking for?

I'm going for a more-or-less authentic scrappy look, so I can use scraps
big enough to cover a 2" hexagon. I'd even be prepared to piece a couple
of scraps together to cover one hexagon! So just little scraps will be
appreciated. I'm not fussy about colours either - I'll use them all to
make a bright and cheerful quilt.

Sorry to reply to my own post, but I've had a think and cut some
templates, and I've made a decision. I'm going for 1" hexagons. I think
I may be mad, and I may live to regret it, but this is my decision and
it's final. Probably.

Hullo Mel
Someone in our quilters group here has recently finished a single bed
size quilt made with 1" hexagons. It was absolutely beautiful. It
wasn't made into the GFG type of pattern, just shading from colour to
colour (she dyes her own), and was really lovely.

I'm looking for black & white fabrics, and I love butterflies too. :-)
I'm a beginner slowly trying to build a stash.
