Default Tucson Quilt Show

Sue and I spent four hours looking at the quilts and (of course) shopping at
the vendors. I must say that on the whole the quilts were not so impressive
as the ones we saw there last year, though there were several that were
absolute knockouts! I think my favorite moments came when we found
flaws--blunted points on triangles, piecing that was less than perfect,
things like that. Somehow it gives me hope that my quilts, too, might hang
in a show someday...

We found Cyndi just a little while before we left. She was tooling around
on a scooter and enjoying herself despite the pain in her hip. I can't say
for sure, but I think her shopping was just as successful as ours. I must
admit that I spent half of my January bonus!

The Tucson Quilter's Guild does a fine job of putting together a show every
year. We found plenty of hostesses who were ready to explain, direct, and
show the backs of quilts.

Now it's a whole year to wait for the next quilt show. Sigh.

Carolyn, I used to go to that show every year when I lived in Douglas,
and I always enjoyed it! I even went once *after* we moved here, but
it's been several years now. Oh well. :S

Sigh, sorry I missed you guys. We were there about 9, left about 2:20 or so.
I agree that there were fewer really out standing quilts this year. A good show
though. I enjoyed it all, and really enjoyed not driving down and back alone.

Pati, in Phx (who didn't buy anything but lunch at the show..... )

Right after I saw you guys, I met DH atFirecracker for supper. We were up
all night in the bathroom, all the next day, went to TMC Emerg Room and
after 6 hours they wanted to admit us overnight, but we had already missed
one plane, with change fees, and didn't want to do it again. We just got
home and I am still sick, vomiting, diarreah, pain, fever, food poisoning
par exelance. Going back to bed now.

Cyndi
