Oh, those are lovely. All the beauty of a raku pottery vase on ones arm.
Perfect. Diana -- Vote this November (U.S.A.) "Tinkster" wrote in message ... I saw these and wanted to sha http://snipurl.com/9w80 Tink Check here for available work: http://blackswampglassworks.com/latest.htm |

They are wonderful. (How do you make hearts that small?)
The even better news is that you're feeling better. Promise us that you won't overdo, at least until you are _much_ better. Yipee - Tink's back Vicki V "Tinkster" wrote in message ... Yipee - Tink's back It's very difficult for me to do anything in small bites. I did three beads last night. Weeeeee! And I've been melting a wee bit of glass today. I already feel the exhaustion creeping in though, so I'm about ready to call it quits for the day. I typically *do* overdo it. This time, it's not an option. My body apparently won't allow it. I changed the subject line of this post because I wanted to bring up something that really kind of annoyed me. I love my customers, many of whom have become more like friends. As much as I adore them, I realize that it's important to stay visible, as an artist, so that you don't lose their attention. Many artists do this by keeping stuff on eBay all the time. I don't do eBay anymore, so I try to update my site daily. So as I was moping around Sunday trying to feel better and worrying about the whole visibility thing and how my illness may have impacted my appeal/draw, I get a very creepy email from a customer. It went something like this: "Just how sick are you? I mean, is there a chance that you might really not make it??? I hope you're taking good care of yourself and that you recover. I miss seeing and buying your work. Do you think you might not be able to do glass anymore? If that's the case, how much do you think the value of the items I've bought from you might increase? If you are truely [sic] not going to make it, would that increase their value even more?" It went on from there, and it was kind of depressing. This is a very, very, very good customer in all ways: She likes the stuff that I like, she is very low-maintenance, she pays immediately, and she has purchased over $8,000 worth of beads since last December. I was more than a little surprised by the tone of the email, and I ended up in a good old fashioned funk over it. Talk amongst yourselves. Discussion if you wish. Tink you have been on my mind daily. I can understand a funk from that kind
of email. Poop on her and her general lack of human compassion. I know I'm blunt and all but that is pretty offensive. I hope you are having a good recovery. There are many of us in the same boat with you. Thankfully I'm on the recovering end almost healthy again. I just want you to know that your beads are treasures to me because they are yours and yours alone. They were not really an investment on my part. You are just a wonderful artist and your beads speak to me. I would never give up my beads made by you simply because they make me happy. They are proudly on display to anyone who comes into the home in an honored place. I love ya kiddo. Please feel better soon. -- Starlia Klopman www.klopmanstudios.com "Tinkster" wrote in message ... The breathing is better, though I'm still doing a lot of nebulizing and inhaling and steroids. At least I'm getting some O2 now, and the coughing has eased up somewhat during the day. I'm dealing with a couple of cracked ribs from the hacking, too, which sucks. Other than that, I'm great :-) LOL! I actually made a couple of vessels today, though I suspect that's about it in the melting department at least until tomorrow. I simply have no stamina. Please tell Butterbean I said hi. His picture was adorable! Tink Check here for available work: http://blackswampglassworks.com/latest.htm |
