One hump or two?
Every knitting project has a "hump," a point from which you can see the
finish and the going gets easier. She says to knit 14 inches from start of knitting to beginning of arm gussets, so I stop and measure my progress every couple of hours. I know it silly, but I can not help myself. I get into a new section of pattern, and everything curls and puckers a little more. Then, as I lay it out on my knee, I have less then I had before. (With apologies to Tim Finnegan, James Joyce, and the musical, magical fruit The less I got, The more I knit. The more I knit, The more it curls. The more it curls, The less I got. . . . Not sure how many humps this thing is going to have. Aaron |

One hump or two?
The song lacks rhythm when sung at 4 verses per hour? : )
I., e.,: 236 rounds to go, 236 rounds to go, cast one on, knit it around, 235 rounds to go. . . (sung to 99 bottles of beer!) Does anyone have actual knitting patterns in verse or song or other verbal mnemonic? Aaron " YarnWright" wrote in message ... I like the 236 rounds to go sung to the 99 bottles of beer tune....
don't know of any songs, but there was a little poem about knitting, something about jack and around the back, over the fence, etc... but that's ummmm over forty years ago.
