You're right, each day has its gift! We'll just rush it through the icky
part, and then you can slow down and smell some roses. They'll be plenty
left after July, along with other good summer things like blueberries,
lightening bugs and picnics. (not to mention a whole new hairdo!
Have you considered planning a little late summer or even early autumn get
away??
(not that we'd ever think of a stash raid or anything........blink blink)

Chipper,
I have never wanted to rush Summer by but the first few days after chemo
are bad . I managed to have some fun but it's so hard making plans because
you just don't know how you'll feel. I go day by day until chemo is over.

I was losing so much hair that I went to the barber shop this morning. I
had hair everywhere in the shower and I knew this was my buzz day. It feels
different but if I had let all my hair come off on it's own I would of
needed a plumber to clean out a drain. I will wear a cap out but at home
my cats and family don't mind the bald me. Next chemo is on the 14th.

Howdy!

**splllttttt!!**

LOL!

One day my older teen son, after a reprimand from his dad,
turned around and said,
"Hey, Dad! I'll polish your forehead for a quarter!"
Appropriate offer; his dad had to LOL.

Hi Pami,

Glad you've reported in. I've been wondering if you had started the
chemo. I hope it's not making you feel too lousy, in spite of the hair
loss. Have they been able to use your port to draw blood?

I'm diabetic and don't eat any wheat because it spikes my sugar. One
of my favorite deserts is instant pudding--either vanilla or
chocolate--topped with cherry pie filling. Yum! It's both easy and
tasty. I use sugar free products for both the pudding and cherries,
but that wouldn't be an issue with your barber.

Debra,
It was a smart decision....but the barber is someone I know and he wouldn't
take any money. I want to do something for him. Any suggestions? He can't
have gluten products otherweise I would bake him a cake.

So bake him a cake! Just substitute rice flour and an appropriate
amount of baking powder. I make the Dove's Farm Lemon Drizzle (only I
do orange drizzle) for my coeliac friend.
