What I would do is take the list of Thread Gatherer's Silk
'n Colors and look them up on their website:
http://www.threadgatherer.com/index.shtml Then I would chose a DMC
alternate closest to the color. You might even want to blend some threads
for the land and the sand. It's not a particularly complicated design.

Thanks - that's what I am going to do. I noticed that a couple might
be able to be done with some of the JP Coats overdyes, which happen to
be on clearance at my local Hobby Lobby. . . .

Unfortunately, they are too expensive for me to do that! I want to do
one of the JCS Xmas ornaments (the Monsterbubbles one - don't ask me
to spell it out here - it's Hawaiian for Merry Christams). It has
about 10 colors - much as I love it, I can't spend $54+ to do one
ornie. . .

One other thing you might try is that for a while Ozark Sampler was
selling thread collections on Ebay. They'd sell a one yard length of
each of several different threads in a collection. It might be worth
emailing them to see if they would sell you one yard of each of the
Thread Gatherer colors you need for your ornament (www.Ozarksampler.com).

Yes, this is good

However be SURE you know how much floss you are buying. I have naively bid a
couple of times on a good deal, and when they arrived discovered they were
"samples"

Will not buy from hem again, because they were not clear. Hopefully this has
been corrected, but it did not leave a happy memory to me@!!
