An update from Marisa AU/NZ
I think this was my busiest week ever in history. As well as working in the
shop, I started teaching and had some great students. I'll be putting pictures of some of their work up on my site this week. I finally had time to give some thought to my new workshop lay out and am even more delighted with the space now that the move is actually finished and I've had time to just gloat! I can't wait to get out and really move some metal around. In the big new workshop space, it looks like I have a lot less beads. This will have to be remedied. -- Marisa (AU/NZ) http://www.galleryvittoria.com |

No pics of the workshop yet. Waiting till it's painted and furnished. In the
lined half of the shed I have enough room for my jeweler's peg and small power tools at one end, textiles at the other. In the other half of the shed is room for the large power tools, buffers, draw bench, rolling mill and a bench for my hammering stakes. I'll set up a forge for raising, something I haven't done in a long time due to space limitations. I've never had so much space! I taught two bead weaving classes; bracelets and earrings with a little wire wrapping thrown in. I've got some nice students and it's looking like I'll have a fairly full teaching roster at least until July. After that I'll see. I'm taking a course at the Polytech which will be three full days per week. I may have to rethink the part time job at that point. One thing I'm leaving on the walls of the workshop is a small airbrushed mural of an alien, I'm going to frame it out with masking tape and paint around him. He's cool , I don't want to cover him up. Homage to an unkown artist. "KDK" wrote in message ... Pics - do we get pics of the new workshop??? Very exciting - what are you teaching? Kathy K "Marisa Cappetta" wrote in message ... Sounds awesome - and I'd leave the alien unpainted too!
I haven't started on re-doing my shop yet - gotta get on the ball there. Sounds like you are the good kind of busy!! Kathy K "Marisa Cappetta" wrote in message ... No pics of the workshop yet.
