Default OT earthquakes jeanne?

I just saw a bit about earthquakes in your part of the world.
Hope everything is ok (except maybe those rotten light poles)
Hugs, Taria

i'm the other end of the country so we're ok, didnt even feel it that far
away (about 1000 miles, i think).
dh came to bed and mentioned the quake and a tsunami warning for oz as a
result.
just checked websites here about it, one shows it reg'd on the scale at 7.8
at one point in the first roll.
there was a second one 20mins later at 6.6 iirc.
good size quakes, not all that deep and not that far centre'd off the coast
here so was felt by much of the south island.
i wonder if dd felt it, they'd be up at 10pm and are half way to the centre
from where we are so might have felt something. the cat there might have
reacted, must check with her later.
thanks for checking up on us.
the pole remains as it is used during winter. supposedly there was another
resting spot put in farther across the field to move the pole to during
summer when it isnt needed so we dont have it sticking up so ugly in our
backyard view. i havent been out in the park to check if the thing got put
in during autumn as promised. i guess we'll see come sept if it is moved to
the new spot.
