Default a friendly story

Marlene, if you know Liberty, you may know (of) Lone Tree. Much of Lone Tree
used to be my family. The family reunion is/was there every summer. My dad's
family name is Hacke, and his mom was a Bell. Most of them are gone now, but
I have fond memories of the area.

Pati, in Phx (originally from Tucson............ )

I saw you live in Ames and I have to tell you a quick story. I am Marlene
Hutchins and I live in New Ulm, MN. When I was a teenager long time ago, I
went to a friends home for a friend's birthday party. She was 16 and I was
also, well listening to her parents I found they were from Ames, but we all
were living in Tucson Az. When I went home I told my Mother that Judy was
from Ames Ia and there last name is Beenblossom. My Mother told me to go
look at the phone book and see if her Father was Richard, sure enough that
was his name. My Mother got on the phone and called them and said, Richard
Beenblossom do you remember your 8th grade teacher Miss Morse, he said I
sure do, my Mom said well my daughter was just at your home and I was your
teacher, he said well you taught my wife too Virginia. Mom remembered that
especially since she had Beenblossom and Turnipseed in the same class. So
when I see Ames I think of my darling Mom and how happy she was when she saw
those two students again.. Isn't that funny..
My Mom was from Cedar Rapids and my cousins live in N. Liberty between C.R.
and Iowa City. We live about 5 hours away and we try to get there several
times a year..
I live close to Hutchinson where Thimbleberries shop is. We have a
wonderful shop in our town and several close by.. I love to quilt and try
and take classes so I can learn more. I just had to write to you. Marlene
