The digital colors are not accurate -- the blue is darker and the red is
brighter. I made lots of mistakes but learned a lot in the process.

Oh my, your picture looks like it belongs on a magazine cover! The
quilt top is beautiful! Now that I see your big one, it looks more and
more like I should replace blue with green and have a peppermint candy
Christmas quilt.

I am surprised that the not matching points don't show up any more than they
do. I tend to be a perfectionist and I really struggled to accept this is
good enough. I can say I absolutely understand the importance of consistent
1/4 inch seams now and measuring twice , cutting once. This project has made
me a better quilter, I think.

I do think green and red would make a really cute Christmas quilt. I am
going to make another one, I think, in Pittsburgh Steeler colors for one
daughter but perhaps double the fabric requirements and make it 5 squares X
5 squares.

Thanks for the compliment -- I really liked the small squares on the back of
yours -- I have never tried piecing a back.

It looks great! What a difference the royal blue makes....mine was a navy
blue! It was a fun project....now if I can just get it quilted and bound.

ah but Alice.. it isn't a UFO

it's a *finished* top waiting for cooler weather to arrive so you can quilt
it :-) anyway.. it's traditional to make tops in the summer and quilt them
in the winter :-D
