Default Best knot for joining wire fence

in Dutch Bernie's knot is called something like:
single belt knot
or single cable bend

this knot can cause trouble conducting electricity
and it cannot take a heavy load or tight tensioner anymore
"so they say"
but it works for me when fencing (is that English?)
(Bernie's knot will probably work with conducting polypropylene tape
too)

in 'Afrikaans' I found another option:
http://www.consolidatedwire.co.za/
choose: "publikakasies"
and: "lasmetode vir ronde staaldraad "
may be the link will work direct:
http://www.consolidatedwire.co.za/la...staaldraad.htm

other knots are needed if your electric fence is transportable, with
polyethylene thread instead of massive steel wire.

knot fenced,

Ben
