Default Baby quilt finished!!

Gee, Mini, if that thrift store is a
non-profit (charitable) agency, that is
just not right. Maybe you should
complain to the higher ups!
Last week at a local VFW thrift store, I
found a tote bag with the logo of my
quilt guild. The guild sold those about
3 years back for about $12, IIRC. I paid
$2, took it home and washed it, and it
is good as new. PAT in VA/USA

I do that too. But, it's a small place here. There is a clothes designer/
seamstress that had connections with the thrift store (there is one where
all the donated clothes end up) & she gets most of the good stuff first...
I'm telling you, I live in Fabric Desert! So, I spend a lot of time in
fabric stores when I travel (and begging for scraps!)! ;o)

Yay! I finished quilting and binding the baby quilt last night and it's
off ot its new home today at noon. I'm really excited. I've only seen
photos of little Andrea so far, but she's obviously a true beauty.

The quilt was started after my mom sent me an old McCall's magazine
article. Then I saw Mini's quilt -- thanks Mia for letting me borrow
some of your really good ideas -- and the two inside borders were born
as well as the back border. I quilted each print block according to the
design on the quilt. The only one where I didn't follow the designs was
the ones with polka dots and there, I just made big circles. It was
really fun. I put on two appliques....had to restrain myself from
covering it in flowers and butterflies. My quilting is not great, but
it's enthusiastic and I hadh a really g ood time making this little
quilt.
