Default I am doing it

yes, I am back to quilting, I started last night..
I almost have the top finished on the 03 mystery quilt

after months of looking at the sewing machine, and talking about going to
start, I did it.
I am still a bit teary eyed, as the last quilt I did on the machine was the
one I made for Pa, and thinking about quilting still hurts when I thank back
on how much Nana loved the quilts I have done, and to know that this Mystery
quilt was going to be hers.
I guess I am still at a loss, for the both of them.

To say the hurt will go away will not work. Enjoy your memories as you
quilt and think of the new people who will be enjoying your creations.

Hullo Christina
That's great to hear.
Many, many people have sewn tears into their quilts. You may find that,
over time, this is a really soothing thing to do. Don't forget, it's
early days yet. Don't be hard on yourself.

HI Christina, I am glad to read that you have started quilting again.
After a while the sadness will turn to joy because you have all those
wonderful memories to put into those new quilts. Happy Holidays, Linda

So glad you're quilting again! You will sew so many memories into that
quilt, thinking of both of them, that you might just want to keep it as a
hug for yourself. You might like to make a little journal as you go, and
write down some of the memories each day with a note of which part you were
working on. And put their names on the label.
